Day Hike Outside DC: Great Falls

Located only 15 miles from the US Capitol is Great Falls. It's a great day hike that lets you unwind from the city life and connect with the outdoors. What I really enjoy about the hike is that the trails run right along the Potomac River so there was a great view the majority of the hike. Woods Hole Hostel Experience

As I've mentioned previously, I just can't drive more than five hours a day. I needed one more stop in between Asheville, NC, and Washington, DC.
